Our two shows are very different – both utterly fabulous in their own way:
FRIDAY: INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE
We open with: Live drum solo competition: development category
Be amazed by the skill of our tabla player: Joelle Barker
We follow with our open stage – an array of groups and soloists, UK based and international guests. From less experienced to professional dancers – all bring something unique
Next: our Live Drum Solo competition: professional category. Enjoy the interaction between dancer and tabla player.
To finish: everyone gets chance to dance to Joelle’s drum beat. She will play along to some of Cairos top hits and we can all get up and dance …… a great way to end the evening.

SATURDAY: GALA SHOW
PART 1: We open with the final of our International Bellydance Challenge: the ‘experienced’ category. These dancers have faced 6 challenges through the year and these girls have made it through to the final. In Strictly style, we show a video of each dancers journey and then see them perform live. We have a panel of expert judges – and you, our audience, get to vote for the ‘Peoples Choice’ award.
We also have the winner from 2025 joining us to perform and the winner of the ‘development category’ this year.

Our Cairo Superstar:
Kamelia Mourad
We are delighted to bring Kamelia to the UK for the first time. Her performances are electric. Kamelia has her own unique style. A wonderful mix of playfulness, great technique and charisma. Her shows often incorporate elements of folklore such as saidi, shaman or melaya dance. Kamelia performs regularly on the Nile Maxim and is in great demand. She teaches at the Nile group festival and at festivals around the world.
Students love her generous nature and ability to break down moves. If you love the Egyptian style you will love Kamelia. You can book individual workshops with Kamelia or any of our other stars now – check out all our workshops here.
Our European Star:
Anna Chepets
We are also delighted to bring Anna to the UK for the first time. Anna is a world famous teacher and performer. Originally from Ukraine she has travelled to teach and perform in over 20 countries. She has won competitions at many festivals – and gone on to be a judge at many more. Anna has worked in Cairo and brings a wealth of knowledge to the festival. I am particularly excited by her workshop ‘Iraqi: in the context of Egyptian shows’.
Anna is loved for her clear and inclusive teaching style – if you can you should take a class with her.

Cairo cabaret star:
Zara Dance
Zara is one of the UK’s best loved Cairo performers. Zara lives and works as a professional dancer in Cairo. She spends time with her mum in the UK whenever she can. Zara always welcomes dancers to her shows in Cairo and is a very generous hostess. Zara teaches and performs around the world and hosts her own events in the UK. This will be Zaras first time teaching at the Fantasia festival and we are so pleased she is joining us.
