Belly Bollywood
In this festival’s workshop, Jamilah will be teaching an energetic Bollywood-style Belly Dance. Through her instruction, participants will not only learn dance techniques but also experience the rich culture and passion embodied in the dance. Jamilah encourages everyone to step out of their comfort zones and try new dance styles, exploring the limitless joy and charm that dance offers.
We are delighted that the fabulous Jamilah Aziz is teaching this year. She has performed previously. Jamilah is a distinguished expert in Belly Dance and Bollywood Indian Dance, with extensive teaching and performance experience.
Jamilah hails from China’s Uyghur ethnic group, which is part of the Turkic peoples. Her passion for Oriental and Indian dance is deeply rooted in her cultural heritage and family influence. This rich cultural background gives her dance style a unique and captivating flair.
