Yasmina of Cairo

A professional dancer in Cairo for many years, Yasmina now splits her time between Cairo (where she runs her dancers B&B) and the UK where she has been helping develop the online course content with JWAAD. Yasmina brings that personal Cairo experience, her depth of knowledge and her international connections to ‘Bellydance Now’.
Yasmina teaches at many international festivals and her skills are much in demand.

Yasmina has produced several documentaries about life as a dancer in Cairo.  She interviewed both Egyptian and foreign dancers to get under the surface of life as a dancer in Cairo.

Yasmina, along with Carmen Tormo, has been the driving force behind our new competition ‘Bellydance Now International Challenge‘.  This has proved to be hugely beneficial to dancers and is now in it’s 2nd year.
