American tribal style and belly dance classes in Edinburgh

Over the last decade Nici has studied several belly dance styles, predominantly Egyptian, American Tribal, Improvised Tribal and Datura. In doing so, Nici has studied with several internationally renowned belly dancers including Jill Parker, Mardi Love, Sharon Kihara, Divine Chaos and Alexis Southall. Nici is currently working towards her Datura style teaching certificate, awarded by Rachel Brice in Portland, Oregon. Nici is a proficient zil player and is learning to play the Darbuka to cultivate a deeper knowledge and relationship with arabic rhythms.

Nici teaches belly dance technique and choreography every Wednesday at St Margaret’s House, London Rd, EH7 6AE  from 6:30 pm – 7:45 pm. In September 2018, Nici will also teach a ten week beginners course through Edinburgh Council.
