Bamba

Jayne (stage name Bamba) is setting up an Egyptian Dance Class in Grimsby.  Get in touch if you want to join.  Jayne started learning Egyptian dance in 1990, training with dance teachers Josephine Wise, Maureen O’Farrell, Shareen el Safy, Nermine Azazy and Rakia Hassan.  Nermine gave her the stage name of Bamba.
After completing her JWAAD diploma, Jayne taught classes at Canterbury University, London Borough of Lambeth, Waterloo Health Centre and Grays Inn Action Centre, and have taught dance workshops at The Place Dance Studio as well as providing locum teaching cover for my fellow teachers, and teaching at the summer school in Tring.  Jayne teaches Egyptian dance technique, musical interpretation, performance skills and dancing with props – veil, assaya and sagat.

Beginners class on Monday evenings from 6.30 to 7.30 pm. Classes commence on 29.1.24 and the location is Vittles Cafe Bar, 2-4 Brighowgate, Grimsby, N E Lincs, DN32 0QX (two minutes walk from Grimsby Town Station)
