Elizabeth Aitken
Weekly Classes: Ely, Cambridgeshire. Elizabeth began training with Emma Chapman in 2008 and very quickly fell in love with the dance. In 2010, she covered classes in and around Ely and found she enjoyed teaching. After completing the JWAAD Certificate Safe Delivery of Bellydance Classes in 2012, she began teaching regular weekly classes for beginner, improver and intermediate level dancers. She recently completed the JWAAD course “Influence of History and Culture upon Bellydance” and continues to train with National and International teachers. In discovering bellydance, she felt a real connection to arabic music and the natural desire to express that music through dance. She loves the warmth and feeling of egyptian music from Balady to Saiidi to Modern Oriental and enjoys drumming, sagat and arabic singing! Elizabeth is a friendly, patient and supportive teacher. Classes are currently available at beginner and improver level and regular weekend workshops are offered throughout the year so there’s something for everyone! Elizabeth also gives demonstrations to local groups and regularly performs at haflas and dance events.
