Desna Mackenzie

Currently no weekly classes.  Desna is a bellydance teacher and performer based in Lancaster. She discovered the dance nearly two decades ago and since then hasn’t stopped learning! Desna has been teaching since 2002 in a wide variety of situations from local weekly classes and workshops at bellydance events to workshops for schools and community groups. She is a friendly and supportive teacher who loves nothing more than when something ‘clicks’ for a student. ** Currently taking a break from teaching weekly classes, Desna is still available for private tuition and workshops. ** She performs across the North West, and occasionally further afield, at weddings, parties, and haflas. As a teacher and an artist, she strives to be as true as she can to the roots of the dance form, and is committed to making it as accessible as possible to everyone.
