Passant Gemeay is one of Cairos best kept secrets.  She describes herself as a spiritual muslim and wears the hijab.  She also loves bellydance.
Passant is self taught and loves the dancers of the Golden Era.  She started teaching Egyptian women in women only gyms around Cairo.  She has inspired many Egyptian women to learn and embrace bellydance.  
There is a whole culture of women’s exercise classes, women’s gatherings and parties where women entertain each other.  
Passant now also teachers at Cairo festivals and also teachers groups of dancers visiting Cairo.  Her English is excellent and she is great at explaining lyrics.
